Info

The Baseball and Softball Academy is running its 24th year of summer skills and development camp. Each session offers a unique perspective of baseball and softball through developmentally appropriate, fun, and engaging activities. Every day there is a sequential breakdown of hitting fundamentals focused on each age group's development. With a low staff-to-camper ratio, your child receives the attention and repetitions they deserve. Specific sports fitness is a focus during skills stations and warm-ups.

Camp meets from 9 am – 12 pm and is designed for students entering kindergarten through 8th grade in September. Bring your positive attitude and desire to learn! Session 1 focuses on all aspects of the game, including hitting, throwing, fielding, catching, pitching, and game strategy. Session 2 is a continuation of these skills with a focus on hitting. Our coaches emphasize love for the game during camp through fun and engaging activities.

Participants are asked to bring a glove, a water bottle, and a positive attitude. Please bring a bat, helmet, and other appropriate equipment for baseball and softball. Helmets and bats are provided for those who don't have their own.

If you have questions about this camp, please get in touch with the camp director at coachwazz@yahoo.com. Brighton Community Education can answers registration questions at 242-5200 ext. 5595 or mona_zamiarski@bcsd.org.
